Our Story and Mission
Faith and Actions Ministry (FAM) is a 501c3 Nonprofit Organization that aims to serve communities in need through medical relief and humanitarian aid programs. Our mission is to spread love, hope, and faith to those who need it most by doing Kingdom Work for ALL.
Our Founders, Jeff & Terry Hallums, began their mission work decades ago with churches and mission brigades. They then created FAM to ensure everyone had the chance to experience the life changing impact of this volunteer work. This began with international missions in Latin America and Africa, then expanded back onshore in the USA with FAM Essentials.
Current Relief Programs
Medical Care
In addition to our fully stocked pharmacy, our teams are tailored to meet the needs of the community, with a strong emphasis on pediatric, maternity, chronic conditions, and surgical care. We are currently in discussions to expand our services to include additional care and education for young women and survivors of trafficking.
Dental Care
Oral health plays a crucial role in nutrition, which is why we are making significant investments in dental care. Recently, we have expanded our dental team to incorporate preventive fluoride and dental hygiene supplies & education, alongside our traditional offerings like extractions and oral surgeries.
Vision
We're thrilled to share that, in addition to our standard vision screenings for children and adults, we've teamed up with Restoring Vision to a wide variety of frames and lens options. Our dedication to improving visual experience is at all-time high.
We will soon be planning our next Medical Mission Brigade. It is shaping up to look like Honduras in Fall 2025.
We have numerous requests in the pipeline including other Latin America areas; as well as, returning to work in Africa including Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania.
We are also working on exciting work to partner up with another mission to bring complimentary skills and support to make every mission better than the one before. Stay tuned for an announcement. As soon as we wrap the separation of FAM Essentials, we'll be on to planning the next mission!
